2 Day Adventure

 

Age 8+ with Parental guidance.

Minimum group size - 4 rifles/shooters - plus parents/guardians

Maximum group size - 9 rifles/shooters - plus parents/guardians

 



Activities In Detail

                                                         

Day 1 - Bushcraft skills.

  1. SHELTER - SET UP TARPS - You are welcome to bring along your own tents.
  2. FIRE LIGHTING SKILLS - Ferro rods, tinder bundles and fire lays.
  3. COOK OWN LUNCH

 After lunch

        - Shooting Range.

  1. SAFETY BRIEFINGS - RANGE, RIFLE & COMMANDS
  2. HOLDING, COCKING, LOADING & FIRING
  3. SIGHT PICTURE
  4. NATURAL POSITION
  5. TRIGGER CONTROL

Day 2 - Bushcraft skills.

  1. KNIFE & SAW SKILLS - Make tent pegs and pot hangers.
  2. WATER - LOCATE & FILTRATION - make a water filter system.
  3. COOK OWN LUNCH
After lunch
         - Shooting Range.
  1. BREATHING 
  2. FOLLOW-THROUGH
  3. COMPETITION

 

Marksmanship Safety Briefings 

Before any shooting can begin your instructor will demonstrate the key safety elements of Air Rifle Target Shooting with you on the range.

 

Range Safety How to conduct yourselves safely & responsibly when on the range.

Rifle Safety - How to handle the Air Rifle safely and confidently.

Range Commands A clear set of verbal instructions telling shooters what to do and when.

 

All of the safety instructions are designed around simple common sense, but if there is anything you are unsure of please speak to your instructor.  

 

Progressive learning

Each Bushcraft and Marksmanship technique is designed to build on those previously learned, so by the end of the adventure you will have completed all of the principles of competent marksmanship and achieved numerous bushcraft & survival task successfully. Congratulations.
