Day 1  -  Campsite

  1.  SET UP TENTS & TARPS

                 - Shooting Range

  1.  HOLDING, COCKING, LOADING & FIRING
  2.  SIGHT PICTURE
  3.  NATURAL POSITION
  4.  TRIGGER CONTROL
  5.  BREATHING
  6.  FOLLOW THROUGH

 

Day 2  -  Shooting Range

  1.   ZERO OPEN SIGHTS
  2.   PRONE POSITION
  3.   STANDING
  4.   COMPETITION - SEATED
  5.   COMPETITION - PRONE
  6.   COMPETITION STANDING
Progressive learning

Each technique is designed to build on those previously learnt, so that by the end of your training you will have completed all of the principles necessary to achieve competent marksmanship. 

Parachute HQ

As soon as you arrive an instructor will meet you and take you to the Parachute HQ for refreshments and to meet your fellow trainee sharpshooters.

 

Safety Briefing

Once everyone has arrived the first safety briefings will take place, followed by a short introduction on the sport of Air Rifle Target shooting and how the day ahead is planned.

 

Then its off to the Shooting Range for the Rifle & Range Safety briefings. Now you're ready to start shooting.

 

Self Catering

Please bring your own food for the Adventures.  If you're not sure what to bring, get in touch and we can suggest what food to bring with you. Please take a look at our What To Bring page.

 

Refreshments

Tea, coffee and water will be available throughout the day.

 

Outdoor Toilets

Be brave - we have a number of composting toilets on the site.

Before any shooting can begin your instructor will describe and demonstrate the key safety elements of Air Rifle Target Shooting on the outdoor range;

 

Range Procedures

How to conduct yourselves safely & responsibly when on the range.

Range Commands

A clear set of verbal commands telling shooters what to do and when,  so everybody knows what's happening. 

Rifle Safety

How to handle the Air Rifle safely and confidently.

 

All of the safety instructions are designed around simple common sense, but if there is anything you are unsure of please speak to your instructor.
